I went to New Mexico to look at a college and I absolutely loved it. I am actually going back to New Mexico to look at a different college sometime in January. I am very excited.
Have you been doing anything exciting?
I am planning a trip with my friends to go to downtown Sacramento and go ice skating in the outside skating rink to celebrate the holidays!

Well, I'll tell about a lot of things...
In Belgium, the most popular sport is soccer. A lot of gays (well, I guess you meant "guys?:))play this sport. One year ago, I played football with my team. Now, I've stopped and I play it with my school friends in my spare time. I don't have a team. I don't spend a lot of time with my parents. I watch some movies, I go shopping and my mother drives me to school. With my father, I play poker.
About media, ... Every schoolday, I never watch television and at the weekend too. In fact I often watch movies on my computer ( I download them ). Belgian teens watch series like Prison Break, Gossip Girl, Friends, ... Do you know them ? My favorite is Prison Break. What's yours ?
In the week, I stay home on my computer and at the weekend I go out with my friends. I have a drink or anything else.
Ther's only one computer in my house. It's in my bedroom. My parents hardly ever use a computer. I think that I stay about three hours on my computer when I'm back from school. And you ? Do you have a personal computer ?
I chat on msn with my friends, I download a lot of videos/series, music. I play online games like Counter-Strike. This game is famous, do you know that ? I sometimes work for school on my computer ( I'm in the form computer sciences ! ).
What's the most important to you ? For me, it's my friends and my family.
What's your opinion about media ? What's the best according to you ? I say that the best of the best is the computer ! It do everything. I can listen to music, watch movies, play videogames, chat with my friends and better more !

My parents watch a lot the television and disagree that I spend a lot of time on my computer.
Fortunately, I've only few conflicts with them.

Je pense que le media est un bon choses mais je ne l'utilise pas souvent. J'utilise l'ordinateur le plus souvent pour rechercher et ecouter la musique! Mais, je n'a pas un ordinateur. Il y a un ordinateur pour la famille et ma souer a un ordinateur portable.
J'aime beaucoup regarder les films, mais je ne regarde pas la télé tout le jour. Il y a une émission que je regarde avec ,a souer qui s'apelle << Supernatural>>. Les gens ici ne le regarde jamais mais je l'aime!
Je préfère lire et quand je n'étudie pas ou courir ou jouer au foot, je suis dans ma chambre avec une livre.
Ma mère utilise l'ordinateur beaucoup pour son job à sa travaille, et à la maison. Mon père est très different. Il détèste les ordinateurs mais il adore la télé.
Pendant le semaine, j'étudie beaucoup et je fais d'exercise tous les jours. à les weekends, j'adore faire du shopping et faire du vélo dans une rue seulement pour les gens sur les vélos et ceux qui courent. Là, il y a des forêts, et un lac. C'est très belle.

I'm writing this letter to tell you more about my country...
First, there's a military base near Ath (my school's city). The town is called Chièvres. It's the military base of the nato in Europe.
Some americans are there ! Does war take a big place in Amercia ?
Are there a lot of specialities in your city ?
Where I live (Ellezelles), it's the sorceresses land ! Every month, there's a celebration where sorceresses dance and one of them burn !
We call that "Le Sabbat".
Ellezelles is in the hillland.
In Ath, there's the burbant tower. A big tower, it's an historic monument. It's the first piece of Ath ! It was a keep and it's become a castle !
Near Ath, there's an animals park, it's big and there's animals like tigers, pisces, turtles, monkeys, ...
Especially a lot of birds. I've already go there, it's nice and funny :)
Well, I'll tell you more about Ath and his nearby...
You could see that there are a lot of bars (where beer is very popular !)
There are a lot of shops but they aren't often crowded behalve when it's the sales !
There isn't any B&B's and a few hotels.
There is, of course, more houses. If you like movies, I recommend you to go to the only cinema of the town, it's next to my school.
It's a little cinema but it's warm and funny ! X)
I think I've said enough ! So could you tell me more about your own land ? It'll be cool =P
See you Soon !Salut! I think the "Le Sabbat" is really interesting! Things like that do go on here, but they are not very well known, and eccentric people tend to do things like that. We have what are called "Rennaissance Fairs" where people dress up like people in the Middle Ages and go to the fair where there are old-fashioned games, booths, and entertainment. It can be really fun, but they only go on during the Summer so it is really hot! Here in Sacramento, the war doesn't really have any effect on me, but other people's family members are currently fighting in Iraq. One of my best friend's father was killed three years ago in the war. I do not have any family members in the war, but becasue of it and multiple other things the economy is going downhill. This is having a huge impact on my family and we are having to adjust. We have a zoo nearby called the Folsom Zoo where they take in animals that have been abused or can no longer live in the wild. It is one of my favorite places. They have crows, raccoons, coyotes, bears, mountain lions, wolves, and parrots. We have movie theaters everywhere so there is never a problem of finding a movie to see. The average ticket costs around 10 dollars but we have theaters that only cost 3 dollars because they play movies that are already out for rent. We love going there because its cheap! Also, we have movie theaters that play movies from Europe or really old movies that have been out for 10 years or so. My sister and I love to go there! I'll talk to you soon! Gabby

I've to tell you about either a good or a bad experience I've had. I choose to tell you more about a really good experience !
I spent seven straight days with my friends ! It was an awesome trip. During this trip, We were in Barcelona ( wonderful weather ). We tanned on the beach an entiere day ! We really enjoyed it. The only matter: one day, it was raining all day ! We were so really unlucky, we stayed all day in the hotel and we played cards and others funny games. It wasgreat but going out is funnier, huh ? =D The last day, we went into a pizzeria and had the biggest pizza ever seen ! It was really delicious and all my friends were happy !
One day, we were supposed to go to the beach (again!) but I was sick. The worst is that I couldn't go with my friends, I stayed in the living room, in front of the TV !
The best day is when we attended a volleyball tournament, we were so excited to play (because we are really good at this sport!). I'm glad of myself and them =P We finished at the second place, a nice score, isn't it ?
In fact, it was an amazing trip ! People were so funny and the scenery was... breathtaking !
I would like to go back and do it all, AGAIN !
